Small yet diverse Luxembourg

Beautiful Luxembourg, cozily nestled between Germany, France, and Belgium – literally the crossroads of Europe which explains a perfect mix of cultures, nationalities, and languages, makes it a perfect travel destination regardless of the purpose of the visit.

Except for being one of the most sustainability-oriented countries in the world, Luxembourg is one of the perfect examples of inclusivity. Did you know that the Grand Duchy has the highest ratio of foreign citizens?  The social cohesion and emphasize on inclusivity make a strong connection between individuals and society in general and guarantees equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their ethnical origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, social status, health or disability. In the modern world, we encounter inequality, and infringement of human rights because of the skin color, religion, gender- whatever. If you really think about it, Luxemburg shows a perfect example of how much better of a place the world can be If people just respect each other for who they are

Speaking of respect and equality, another amazing thing about Luxemburg is the fact that gender equality is enshrined in the constitution as a guarantee of the same rights and freedoms for all genders. As a great example of this I want to bring up the fact that The Grand Dutchy is so far the only country in EU that reached the equal pay for men and women. Quite impressive, isn’t it?

When it comes to diversity, it is hard to stay away from the variety that the country offers for the visitors. Luxemburg City with its Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site will take you on an exciting journey showing the connections between the history of the city and its multiculturalism. The journey will be fascinating but yet efficient since everything is within the walking distance. Don’t forget to stop by the Cornishe, proudly carrying the name of the most beautiful “balcony of Europe”. Just imagine the most beautiful view of Luxembourg at sunset! That level of romantic atmosphere can compete even with Paris! After that, proceed to Pfaffenthal and discover the city full of green parks, fresh air, museums, galleries and shops.

The North of Luxembourg takes its fame for endless green forests, amazing valleys, and breathtaking plateaus. It is a perfect area for memorable hiking and unforgettable mount-biking tours while watching the landscapes but also medieval castles such as the Castle of Clervaux or Vianden Castle. A top-class picture collection is guaranteed!

Moselle region of Luxembourg will take you on a journey through the countless vineyards, that produce not only world-known wines but also nectars. So why not take a break and let the world stop while enjoying the mesmerizing views and amazing wines?

Are you in Luxembourg with a scientific mission? Then you can’t miss the visit to the Belval neighborhood with its university campus – the home to the world-famous research centers.

Here for a gourmet experience? The Grand Duchy took care of that offering an extensive range of international flavors and local products like craft beers, spirits, honey, and hams from the Luxembourg Ardennes. It is a perfect destination for gastronomy where the multicultural background is being mixed with the latest trends. A prove to that is the fact that Luxembourg has the biggest number of Michelin restaurants per capita.

As you can tell, we can have an endless conversation about the diversity of Luxembourg but maybe it’s better to see it at least once? Dare to take the journey and we will make sure you will fall in love with Luxembourg!
