Salzburg. A Thrilling corporate outdoor adventure
We are very excited to share with you an amazing outdoor weekend we organized for one of our corporate clients. Do you know that feeling when a week of a busy conference is coming to the end and you just want to relax, enjoy the atmosphere and just blend in with the environment to just enjoy it? Let’s dive in together into the immersive experience organized by us for our client just for that occasion!
Let’s imagine together a beautiful Salzburg - a picturesque small city in scenery of the Alps, with its astonishing mix of natural beauty, and cultural heritage but yet a strong business vibe. A week of a busy conference full of meetings, networking, learning, tons of new information, and acquaintances. Fun but quite draining for 3 busy days. Before this conference trip, the management decided to reward and surprise the team with a couple of days of outdoor activities once the busy part is over.
Full of energy, enthusiasm, and extensive breakfast at the hotel, the team met us again in the morning to embark on a thrilling river rafting expedition along the Salzach River, navigating rapids and cascading waterfalls under the guidance of experienced instructors. What a way to start the day with the fresh air, nature, and adventurous activities! Those shiny eyes, a vibe of anticipation filled the space around. The way to the destination was full of laughs, and story sharing - what a wonderful atmosphere! Once the thorough instructions and preparations were over, the adventure started. Smooth start to get familiar with the waters through to Railway rapids, impressive waterfall of the Gasteiner Ache with some splashy moments, moments for laughs as well as the moments that required some concentration and teamwork. After such an intensive adventure the team had to be refueled again for sure so all headed for lunch. A spectacular morning demands an equally spectacular lunch. In this case the choice was obvious- a cozy café located right on the waterfall! That’s right, the café is located in a power plant building right in the foot of Bad Gastein waterfall. A monumental building with a fabulous terrace facing the waterfall - amazing local food, great service and astonishing view became a great unwinding environment for the group.
Over the meadows and through the forests, the day kept going with a horseback riding for the group to unite with the nature, enjoy the beauty of Gastein Valley. Clear air, panoramic mountain view, while horseback riding makes one unite with the nature and fades the whole world away. After such full, rich day of experience, the evening was time to relax. The whole group returned to the lodge where they enjoyed a delicious traditional Austrian dinner and then gathered in the garden of the lodge around the prepared bonfire for some relaxation and celebration. Evening full of nice music, laughs, storytelling and connections.
The next morning a new adventure was awaiting- a tour to Werfen Ice caves. A real nature wonder of Alps, the largest on the planet ice world. Some funicular sightseeing after a van ride brought the group into reliable hands of an experienced guide who walked with them through the cave of glaciers, enjoyed naturally created ice figures that amaze the spectators with the variety of shapes, sizes, and the diversity of nature’s fantasy. Nature indeed is the best art and the best artist! Werfen Ice Caves are for sure a once-in-a-lifetime experience that can’t be ever forgotten! After this immersive experience, the group moved to a nearby Hohenwerfen Castle - a hilltop medieval castle with a museum and falconry. One of the best-preserved castles in the world was shown around with a private tour for the guests to experience the atmosphere and soak in the feeling of those times. Time for lunch by now, so for a full-castle experience the lunch was organized at the tavern on site - a very welcoming place with an atmosphere that entices you to relax and refresh. Various traditional cuisine including famous schnitzel and strudel for dessert, accompanied by the musicians supporting the feeling of medieval atmosphere. After the extensive most delicious lunch the day went on with the visit of the falconry of the castle – an absolute highlight of the castle. A show of impressive prey birds stages by the historical club on site. It was an absolute delight to watch the birds in action. Pure grace in action!
The adventure was concluded with a festive farewell dinner – Mozart Dinner Concert experience at the oldest restaurant in Europe. A real feast for all the senses! Baroque ballroom, high cuisine, and classical music- a perfect way to travel back to the 18th century and encounter Salzburg the way it used to be seen by its most famous son- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. All dressed up, happy yet a little upset cause the journey was over the crew enjoyed the evening sharing the plans for the future and anticipating the next similar experience.
This Austrian experience became one of our favorites. The client unconditionally happy and that’s what is the most important when heart and soul is invested into planning. What now? Now we are planning a new incentive trip for their sales team. But also eager to organize a new incentive getaway for your team. Are you ready?
